Mundo Reves, Asa Nisi Masa Malbec 2020

Mundo Reves (meaning "dream world") was created by two French winemakers, Thibault and Quentin, who moved to Argentina a decade ago. They found in the Argentinian terroir a huge potential and felt there was a great opportunity to accomplish their dream of making amazing wines from indigenous Argentinian varieties in their own unique, funky way. Asa Nisi Masa Malbec 2020 is an awesome varietal Malbec. Taken from high altitude vineyards (1100m) in Paraje Altamira, Uco, the grapes were harvested and aged for 6 months in concrete prior to bottling. Expressive and intense on the nose with notes of blueberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and violet. The palate is firm yet juicy, with the tannins balancing the fruitiness and topped off with a vibrant acidity. A great wine to pair with all kinds of red meats.
